Tens of millions of people worldwide are affected by diseases of the thyroid, including thyroid cancer, thyroid under-activity and thyroid over-activity. Thyroid disorders are increasingly being recognized in our population and are especially prevalent among women and the elderly.
In order to increase awareness about the thyroid disorders and its treatment, Pakistan Endocrine Society is organizing a Seminar on World Thyroid Day on 25th May 2012 at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore. Below is the scientific agenda of the Program for your reference in this regard:

Course Objective:

The PTC course is a two-day trauma training course, designed initially for Doctors, to train health professionals in a systematic approach to the clinical needs of a severely injured patient.
During these two days, the students are given the PTC manual as a reference book and are trained through lectures, workshops, clinical skill stations and moulage scenarios. The educational content covers all aspects of the physiological and pathological aspects of the trauma patient, taught in a systematic, interactive way culminating in a practice or examination scenario.
