Course
Content: This course covers the neurology and radiology of
acute stroke, stroke diagnostics, unusual stroke, carotid and transcranial
ultrasound.
Who
is expected to attend:
Trainees from Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology and Psychiatry,
Radiology and Neurophysiology Techs, Cerebrovascular Fellows.
Fees: There are no fees for this program, seating
has to be reserved on first come, first served basis

Research and Training Program (ICT_CRT) at the Aga Khan University and the

Day One: Essential Research Ethics :
policies regarding human subjects ,data acquisition sharing and ownership ,responsible
authorship and publication, conflict of interest, mentor/mentee
responsibilities and relationships ,collaborative research including
collaborations with industry ,peer review ,research misconduct, ,responsible
authorship and publication.
Day
Two: Neuroethics and the
Developing World: Case based discussion format .Truth
Telling and Disclosure, The Persistent Vegetative State, Brain Death and
Stopping Treatment, Uncooperative patient, Gifts from industry, Protecting the
Pakistani Patients in Research ,Ethical Issues in proposal development
Who

Radiology and Neurosurgery, Cerebrovascular Fellows, Trainees involved in
research projects , enrolled in research/clinical training programs which involve critically
ill neurologic patients.
